There are a lot of preconceived ideas about personal trainers, here are some of the most frequently asked questions.
Not necessarily. How much would you consider spending on having fun on a night out with friends? Or spending on a great new outfit, or even a tank of petrol?
The fact is that we have no problem spending money on a whole host of things but when it comes to that precious asset, our body, we can’t seem to justify it!
I charge £30 per hour and have discounted rates for block bookings as well as other incentive schemes. I can also train two people for £40 per hour as long as your fitness levels and goals are similar.
Calling me for an initial consultation to discuss your goals won’t cost you anything.
Not at all, it doesn’t matter what level of fitness you are. I will design a programme specifically for you and do all I can to encourage and motivate you to get the most benefit from your time with me as you possibly can. I accept you as you are. It doesn’t matter what you wear, how old you are, how you look or your initial level of fitness.
That depends entirely on you and is different for everyone but a lot of the benefits of exercise are almost immediate, such as more energy, better sleep and a more positive outlook on life. Exercise has a great many health benefits — just look at the facts running down the side of the page.
Again that depends entirely on you. Government guidelines for exercise suggest 3 times a week but that doesn’t mean they all have to be with me. I can give you a programme to do on your own as well as give you lots of tips for an active lifestyle to incorporate into your life.
Most people start off with once or twice a week and see how things progress. However frequently you decide to see me I understand how difficult it can be to fit exercise into a busy schedule. My job is to put it into perspective and keep you motivated by optimising your training time so every session counts.
You can also contact me or I can keep you motivated and watch your progress via email or text message. Based on your programme and my knowledge of your progress this would cover, maintaining fitness between sessions; diet advice; exercise tips while travelling; stress management etc.
This service can help you keep on track between sessions and is especially beneficial while away from home or your usual routine which is often when exercise habits can be broken. It is also a good way to make sure you stick to your plans.
Thatís fine. I specialise in training people in their own environment, particularly at home or their local park. I have a flexible and friendly approach to training and am happy to visit you wherever you would like to train, giving you complete flexibility to incorporate fitness into your life.
As long as you have a pair trainers and something comfortable to wear, thatís all you need. I can bring all the equipment needed for a total body workout including the latest Probell dumbbells.
